Steve Shatrich is an experienced banking executive and principal authority in leading national sales teams, facilitating Breakthrough for Growth team building sessions, creating highly effective sales designs, and integrating teams into one culture to achieve Racehorse performance. Steve strives to live his purpose daily: To inspire and promote the leader within and to positively impact the lives of those he serves.

Steve’s banking career started in 1981 when he was asked to be a left fielder on the Firestone Bank softball team while in college at the University of Akron. When Firestone Bank was acquired by Bank One 9 months later, Steve became a commercial banking officer for Bank One, Akron.  Steve left in 1986 to work for a client with Kenworth and Paccar Finance in the transportation industry as President of Brokers Investment Corp.  He believes that the opportunity to think like a client made him better at serving clients when he returned to the commercial banking industry. In 1990, Bank One rehired Steve and sent him to Texas to open up offices during an acquisition where he encountered first hand material cultural differences. It is where he formed some of the most genuine relationships in his career and where Steve created his belief that no matter what industry one may work, we all are in the People business. Steve left as the Executive Vice President, National Director of Bank Markets for Banc One Leasing Corp. in 2000 to start CFG Associates, Inc., a business advisory firm serving commercial banks and organizations with expertise in sales design, strategic planning and cultural integration. The CFG journey created new relationships and successes that ultimately led back to leading teams in the corporate world. Steve invested time in his career as the Regional Sales Director for Sky Bank, Commercial Bank Managing Director for Key Bank, and National Director/Chief Growth Officer for PNC Equipment Finance.  He recently retired from Huntington Bank as the President of Commercial Bank Markets for Huntington Asset Finance.

Steve has executive leadership experience in different organizations with different cultures and different sales designs. He has been part of 23 mergers and acquisitions.  He learned early that integrating cultures into One Culture, One Team is the largest challenge and the key to any successful merger of talent.  Steve took an interest in understanding the various sales processes and refining them after realizing that many were overly complicated and ineffective.  Breakthrough For Growth seminars, Sales Outcomes by Design, and Executive Coaching and Mentoring are the tools successfully used by Steve in his leadership roles to grow teams, people and revenue.  His vast experiences have led him to who he is today, a semi-retired bank executive with the tools to form the CFG Leadership Group and the willingness to share his tools with commercial clients and individual sales professionals on their journey to growth and success. 

Steve Shatrich and his wife Jodi are residents of Jackson Township, Ohio. They are proud parents of Danielle, Maria, Jenna, and Nick. Steve recently earned the title of “Jedo” with the birth of his first grandchild, Lennox.
